Reconstructive Services

Sometimes called “functional” eyelid surgery, reconstructive eyelid surgery is used to repair eyelids that are out of position (“eyelid malpositions”). Reconstructive eyelid surgery is commonly used to raise upper lids that are low enough to block vision, and fix lower lids that either do not protect or damage the eye. Reconstructive eyelid surgery is also used to reconstruct the eyelids after cancer removal, trauma, or inflammatory processes such as thyroid eye disease. Examples of reconstructive eyelid surgery include functional blepharoplasty and ptosis repair, ectropion repair, entropion repair, repair of eyelid retraction, MOHS reconstruction, and many more.
